Carter Brutschy joined Costella Kirsch in 2025 and brings over 15 years of experience in finance, operations, and strategy to his role. Previously, he served as a Fractional CFO and General Manager for a portfolio of growth-stage clients. Carter recently led the crypto media company Milk Road through its due diligence and successful acquisition in March 2024. Prior, Carter was the Managing Director and Director of Finance at Tripping.com, a travel tech marketplace. There, he established the company's financial infrastructure, managed a $20M annual budget, and played a pivotal role in the company’s transition and acquisition by HomeToGo. Earlier in his career, Carter honed his financial acumen as a Credit Analyst at Union Bank, performing risk analysis and loan maintenance for middle-market clients with revenues up to $2B.
Carter received a B.A. in Economics with a minor in Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He was a member of the UCLA Men's Water Polo team and an NCAA National Champion.
Carter is a former alumni board member of Sacred Heart Preparatory, where he served for five years. Based in Solana Beach, he is a lifelong aquatic enthusiast who spends his free time playing pickleball, seeing live music, and enjoying the coast with his wife and two young children.
